RePan works with foundations in Switzerland that offer people with physical, psychological or mental disabilities a secure and supervised workplace. They polish, screw and pack the pans so that they are ready for a new life.
RePan focuses on regional sustainability. By upcycling intact pans from the region and reusing customer pans, we save resources and protect the environment.
On the one hand, we sort out intact and high-quality pans that have been disposed of in the recycling station together with waste disposal centers such as those in the city of Zurich.
Secondly, we accept the pans from our zund:innen so that they do not have to be disposed of unnecessarily

I know, I know you want to know how this new coating works now. Well, it’s not that simple – it’s high-tech!
Roughly speaking, the pan has to go in the oven. Beforehand, everything
flammable is removed, the pan is prepared and the old coatings are removed after controlled overheating. A pan blank is born!
Now it gets interesting: A bond is created between the different metals to form the desired non-stick layer. Many clever minds use physical and chemical tricks for this, which practically-minded surface coaters can apply with precise spray guns:

At the Annual Recycling Congress, RePan 2025 was first nominated out of 33 concepts and ultimately awarded 1st place. We are proud that RePan has been recognized by experts as the Swiss Recycling Idea of 2025.
The upgraded pans are cleaned, the handle re-riveted if necessary, the base leveled and freshly painted on the outside. You will receive a ready-to-use pan that is ready for many more cooking adventures.
